Our expertise

Garden trees inspired by the art of niwaki

At the nursery, we cultivate and shape garden trees, drawing inspiration in particular from the Japanese art of *niwaki*—a technique that involves guiding and structuring a tree’s silhouette over the years. This process highlights the trunk, branches, and overall form of each tree, resulting in specimens that feel perfectly at home in a garden setting.

01 / JAPANESE MAPLES

Dissectum Japanese Maple

With its naturally drooping habit and finely cut foliage, the dissectum maple brings a sense of softness and elegance to the garden. Its colors evolve throughout the seasons, from spring to autumn.

02 / CONIFERS

Scots pine

Recognizable by its orange-hued bark and its graphic silhouette, the Scots pine lends itself particularly well to niwaki training work. Its branches can be gradually structured to highlight its character.

Japanese black pine

With its dark green needles, vigorous growth habit, and bark that develops a distinctive texture with age, the Japanese black pine is an iconic species in Japanese gardens. Its form can be shaped over time to create a structured and expressive tree.

A selection of our Japanese black pines is also available for shipping. You can find the specific specimens in our online shop.

SINCE 1985

Trees grown and shaped by us

Since 1985, our family-run nursery has been cultivating its own trees in the Lot-et-Garonne region. Some specimens are nurtured for many years before being offered for sale. A visit to the nursery is also an opportunity to discover our work, our cultivation methods, and the trees in their natural setting.
