Outdoors all year round, it is preferable to place the Atropurpureum maple in partial shade, especially during the hot weather, but it needs the sun to promote growth and develop beautiful reddish colours. In summer, we therefore advise you to give it an EST exposure so that it can enjoy the morning sun while protecting it from the scorching sun. In winter, maple is not afraid of frost but to be on the safe side, protect the roots, so use a winter fleece or glass wool for example and wrap the pot with it. So, with this protection, you can leave it outside without any problems.

Japanese Maple Forest “Acer palmatum Atropurpureum”
This small forest of Japanese Maple “Acer palmatum Atropurpureum” creates a charming miniature composition. The different trunks combined with the rock naturally evoke a small landscape and already give the composition plenty of character.
The Atropurpureum is particularly appreciated for its purple foliage, which changes throughout the seasons: bright purplish-red in spring, deepening in summer, then turning brilliant crimson red in autumn.
A colourful and original composition that showcases the beautiful seasonal changes so characteristic of Japanese maples.
