Cultivation Advice

Used to a warm climate, it thrives in full sun, but in summer, prefer a semi-shaded spot. In winter, keep it outside but protect the roots from heavy frosts, as it does not tolerate prolonged periods of frost well (location: cold greenhouse or protection of the pot with wintering fleece/glass wool).

Plenty during hot spells, the rest of the time water when the top of the substrate is dry. Do not allow the root ball to dry out completely.

In the nursery, we use agricultural potting compost made up of black peat, blond peat, aged eco, topsoil, horse manure and pozzolan. Potting is done every 2/3 years in spring.

In winter, remove superfluous branches by masticating the cuttings. During the growing season, prune the green shoots.

Universal blue fertiliser (NPK 12 12 17) from May to October every 2 months.
