Spring and the awakening of the bonsai nursery

Wonderful maple trees in bonsai

It is a species that we particularly appreciate at the bonsai nursery, and it is also one of the emblematic species of this art. Bonsai maples are prized for their delicate, colorful foliage in spring and fall, as well as for their fine branching that they develop year after year.

These are the first trees that are starting to bud and it is the maples that mark the beginning of the new bonsai season. We grow many varieties that stand out for the color and shape of their leaves. We like the Kiyohime variety and its ball-shaped habit, but also the Deshojo whose young leaves are blood red.

It is difficult for us to make a choice, we all love maples and it is often this species that we recommend to an amateur who wants to buy his first bonsai.

Spring Bloom

Spring is also the time of flowers. A magical moment in the nursery that begins at the end of winter with the loropetalum, and continues until the beginning of June with the azaleas. In between, we enjoy the blossoming of apple trees, wisteria and many other trees with more discreet blooms but which we have come to appreciate over the years.

While there are enthusiasts who prefer conifers for their ease of shaping via ligature, flowering bonsai are a species of their own that have their fans. It's a choice, a collection choice, because in bonsai it's all about having fun, growing trees that we like and that evoke things for us.
